Gianna Blaudeau Mandich, J.D.

Legal Clerk – Pending Bar Approval

Gianna Mandich is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Gianna earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University, Freeman School of Business in 2018 where she double majored in Legal Studies in Business and Philosophy. After completing her undergraduate degree in just three years, Gianna was accepted to Tulane Law School. During the Summer of 2019, Gianna received a special certification in Civil Law and the Institutions of the European Union from Paris Dauphine School of Business. Gianna also gained valuable experience in both criminal defense and criminal prosecution during her law school years. In the Summer of 2019, Gianna was a summer associate at Geragos & Geragos, APC where she specialized in celebrity criminal defense and celebrity complex endorsement and advertising agreements. Gianna worked on complex advertising contracts between celebrities and multi-billion dollar companies such as Amazon, Netflix, Nike and Disney. The following summer, Gianna was offered a prestigious clerkship with the U.S. Department of Justice — Eastern District of Louisiana as a legal clerk for the U.S. Attorney Peter Strasser. During her tenure with the USALAE, Gianna worked in the criminal division in white collar crimes, environmental crimes, narcotics and violent crimes. COVID-19 posed a unique challenge for the justice system during 2020. During this time, Gianna worked extensively on oppositions for motions for compassionate release presented before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Gianna has demonstrated a passion for public service. During her undergraduate and law school education, Gianna volunteered over 300 hours with both the Orleans Public Defender’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice. Gianna served as a summer clerk to Orleans Parish Judge Kern Reese and as a semester clerk to Chief Judge Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court of Alabama. Gianna graduated from Tulane Law School in May 2021. Gianna is scheduled to sit for the Louisiana Bar in July 2021 and the Alabama Bar in February 2022.
